Our Story

Kai Hung began with a love for making things by hand. What started with learning to sew at a young age grew into a passion for creating bags that are expressive, distinctive and made to be noticed.

Founded in Penang, Malaysia, Kai Hung brings together fashion, craftsmanship and a constant curiosity for materials. From PU leather and tweed to lace, tulle, sequins, denim, satin, batik and songket, each material offers a new way to explore colour, texture and form.

Every bag is designed and made with a hands-on approach, allowing ideas to develop through the process of making. Rather than following trends, Kai Hung focuses on creating pieces with their own character, playful yet refined, unexpected yet functional.

Today, Kai Hung continues to create small-batch handmade bags from Penang, combining thoughtful craftsmanship with a distinctly individual approach to design.
